Shangrila, it is a name that has recently garnernd much attention in Asia and aeound the world. The world is shrouded in the mystery of faraway, exotic lands and brings to mind images of sharp mountain peaks draped in thick layers of silken snow, under which maroon-clad monks perform esoteric rituals that hark back to a time period as far away as the imaginary land popularized in James Hilton's1933 book Lost Horizon. Today, it seems that everyone is searching for Shangrila.Numerous Asian countries claim to hold the "real" Shangrila within their borders, and hotels,resorts and travel .. | |
